Information design, also called navigation design or information architecture is the foundation of great Web design. In this new Age of computer technology and ever-increasing access to information, trying to find what you are looking for can be overwhelming. One common problem with many Web sites is that they are not put together with the user experience in mind.

Just think of your own experience when searching on the Web. How often do you come across websites that take long to download or have loud, competing graphics, or you have to scroll around, guessing at content, hitting dead ends, getting lost and losing your interest. Most often than not, when you arrive to this type of site, you leave it fast and look somewhere else, right?

If you don’t want your own website to cause users to leave it without even looking at the valuable information you want to offer, it is important to understand information design and use it wisely to organize the content you wish to publish in the web, used effectively, it makes a huge difference in the way we experience and interact with information.

The good news is that there is a methodical process of mapping out strong, consistent information pathways and organizing information. If you have all the content you want to publish but don’t know how it would be most effectively shared, I can organize it and revise for you to design the right architecture for it.
